My Financial Bucket List

I’m not a big believer in “signs” but I can’t help but wonder if the personal finance world is trying to send me one – just after I wrote a post about struggling to define my big goals, Krystal at Give Me Back My Five Bucks announces a partnership with Life Insurance Finder to give bloggers a chance to win $500 towards their financial bucket lists!

I’m trying to win, so I guess that means I’m forced to define a couple of large goals. These are sort of general, but for right now this list will have to do!

1. Establish and maintain a six-month emergency fund. That amount might shift throughout my life as my financial obligations change, but for right now I’m aiming for $10,000.
2. Max out my Roth IRA every year (after the $10,000 is established).
3. Buy a home.
4. Travel to every continent.

Again, I’m trying to win the $500 Give Me Back My Five Bucks competition, sponsored by Life Insurance Finder, the life insurance experts. Be sure and enter for yourself! And if you don’t want to enter, keep your fingers crossed for me 🙂

Enjoy your Thanksgiving, bloggies!
